Transoft Solutions Inc, developers of industry-leading software solutions for the AEC design community has just released results from its inaugural industry-wide survey launched in November 2009. Survey responders came from various types of organizations including full service engineering firms, multi-disciplinary engineering firms, AE firms and Government agencies. The majority of responders were comprised of professional and technical staff who (68% of total responses), followed by managers (17%), executives (10%), and others (5%).
The survey was distributed via email, social network and marketing sites, and made available on the Transoft Solutions corporate website.
"The data gives us good insight on our industry and what industry practitioners believe 2010 has in store for them," says Noel Dolotallas, Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Transoft. "This information helps us stay on top of what's really happening out there as opposed to simply scanning newswires and hanging on analysts' findings which may sometimes be too cautious, too optimistic, or in some cases, mere hyperbole."
The survey data revealed that a slight majority of responders reported 2009 performance results either met or exceeded their expectations and that many are moderately optimistic about 2010 performance.
